PASCO COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) - A Pasco County man is locked up and accused of raping a heavily intoxicated woman after initially helping her get home safely, according to deputies.
Investigators said Michael Marlin, 30, is facing some serious jail time.
Marlin was out drinking over the weekend and helped the victim to her apartment with another person because she was drunk, according to deputies.
Marlin left the home but came back and entered the home without permission and that's when deputies said he raped the victim.
The other person who helped the victim earlier returned to check on her and caught Marlin in the act, according to the incident report.
News Channel 8 discovered that Marlin has been locked up once for child support issues in 2016 and battery back in June.
He’s being held on a total of $100,000 bond at the Land O’ Lakes jail.
