WESLEY CHAPEL, Fla. (WFLA) – People are camping out for free sandwiches ahead of the opening of Wesley Chapel’s very first Chick-Fil-A.
Dozens began setting up tents and waiting outside of the restaurant, which is located on State Road 54, around 6 p.m. Thursday, in hopes of scoring free Chick-fil-A for a year.
The chain’s time-honored tradition, the “First 100,” awards free food to the first 100 people at its restaurant. Each adult gets a voucher for one Chick-fil-A sandwich meal per week. This includes a sandwich, waffle fries and a soft drink.
