HUDSON, Fla. (WFLA) – Four men are behind bars in Pasco County, arrested in a brazen robbery at a beachside bar.
And it turns out the robbery was not only an inside job, but a family affair.
Three of the four had their first appearance before a judge Friday. Aside from being granted bond, each was told not to go anywhere near Sam’s Beach Bar in Hudson.
Detectives say Steven Snow, Terrance Snow, Austin Hurtt and Scott Bamberger robbed the beach bar around 8 a.m. on June 3. Steven Snow is Terrance Snow and Austin Hurtt’s uncle. Bamberger worked at the restaurant.
Several staff members were pepper sprayed and beaten up during the robbery, according to detectives. The employees are OK but shaken.
Owner Brad De-la-Osa said employees are glad the suspects were caught.
“The employees are just relieved that this is all over, now the healing process can begin,” he said.
Detectives say a crime stoppers tip is what led them to the men, whom they say confessed.
In court Friday, the judge set bonds for three of the men at different amounts. The highest was $500,000 on a variety of charges.
