HOUSTON, Texas (WFLA/CNN) – The mother of a missing 4-year-old is begging for her safe return.
The Houston Police Department is asking for the public’s help in finding Maleah Davis, who was last seen wearing a pink bow in her hair, a light blue zip-up jacket, blue jeans, and sneakers, police said.
Maleah Davis’ stepdad says he was abducted and knocked unconscious when the girl disappeared Friday night.
Police said the girl’s stepfather said she was kidnapped by three men who assaulted him during a carjacking while the girl and her 2-year-old brother were present. The stepfather said he and the boy were dropped off in an area southwest of downtown Houston. The stepfather also told officers he was knocked unconscious for almost 24 hrs.
Police said the girl is believed to be with three unknown Hispanic males in a blue Chevrolet pickup truck.
Those with information on the child’s whereabouts are being asked to call Houston police at 713-308-3600 or Houston Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
The Texas Department of Family and protective services says Maleah and her two brothers were removed from their home in August of 2018 due to allegations of physical abuse.
