The Pentagon has released images showing the recovery of the suspected Chinese balloon that was floating over the United States.

The recovery operations are continuing as tensions between the two superpowers rise.

The balloon was first spotted over Montana on Thursday, and was thought to be gathering sensitive information. It was shot down off the coast of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina over the weekend.
