Man wakes up with all his teeth gone after scheduled wisdom teeth removal

COLUMBUS, INDIANA (WFLA/CNN) – An Indiana man who was scheduled to have four wisdom teeth pulled woke up with all of his teeth missing, CNN reported.
In March, Donny Grigsby went to White River Dental in Columbus, Indiana to have his wisdom teeth removed. But his wife Amanda knew something was wrong after being in the waiting room for five and a half hours.
She said the dentist was “afraid that the infection would spread from the one tooth that was abscessed.”
“There [was] blood all over him, all over his shirt. And he [was] droopy eyed not responsive,” she said.

Amanda said they called an ambulance, and Donny coded twice on the way to Columbus Regional Hospital.

“He said he had been put into a medically-induced coma and he was laying there,” Amanda said. “And this dentist needs to be stopped.”

Donny said he remembered very little, but he’ll never forget when it all sunk in.

“I just want to get teeth in my head and go on,” said Donny.

The dentist and the dental office have not commented on the allegation. The family said they have an attorney and plan to file a malpractice suit.
