A Sarasota School has been named the best in the state and No. 15 in the country,according to U.S. News & World Report’s annual “Best High Schools” rankings.
Pine View High School in Osprey, Fla, had a 100 percent graduation rate and recieved a perfect score in the the ranking's college readiness category.
The Sunshine State had the sixth highest overall ranking on this year's report, based on the total percentage of Florida's ranked schools that were in the top 25% of the national rankings.

Using data collected annually from the U.S. Department of Education, more than 23,000 public schools throughout the country were reviewed and 17,245 public high schools were ranked for the 2019 Best High Schools rankings;
