A strange call to 911 ended with a dramatic car chase in Pasco County Wednesday. Several people called to say there were three completely naked women at a rest stop on Interstate 75. Today, two of those women are expected to appear before a judge.
“Oh, they’re on the northbound side of the building, all three of them, standing in the nude putting on sun tan lotion,” said one caller to a 911 dispatcher.
A Florida Highway Patrol trooper arrived at the scene and the women at first said they had showered and needed to “air dry.”
At some point after that, the women drove off at a high rate of speed.
Another pursuing trooper was able to get close enough the the fleeing car to deploy a “StarChase” projectile that allows the car to be tracked with a GPS system.
The fleeing women eventually pulled into a Shell Gas station on State Road 52.
“There was a lady that came in and she was, like, driving the white car,” said Heather Maloney who works in the store.
“I had no idea she was part of the commotion going on outside,” said Maloney.
FHP said one of the women came at a trooper with a baseball bat.
An officer then rammed the suspects’ car to protect the trooper.
The women sped off again, but troopers managed to spin their car and arrest the women.
They identified the driver as Oasis McLeod, 18, with passengers Jeniyah McLeod, 19, and Cecilia Young, 18.
The women are facing a long list of charges.
Oasis McLeod made her first appearance in court today and uttered the word “lies” under her breath as a judge read the charges against her.
All three women are now in a Pasco County jail, completely clothed in a jail uniform.
