PALMETTO, Fla. (WFLA) — One person died Monday morning after a sedan was T-boned by a vehicle at an intersection in Palmetto.
The crash happened just before 1 a.m. at the intersection of 27th Street East and 4th Avenue East.
The Florida Highway Patrol said an SUV was heading south on 27th Street East and came up to a stop sign on 4th Avenue East. The vehicle continued onto the intersection and hit a sedan that was traveling southbound.
A 64-year-old passenger in the sedan suffered fatal injuries. The driver, a 60-year-old woman, was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the SUV was not hurt.
