BRADENTON, Fla. (WFLA) — Firefighters are battling a two-alarm fire at an apartment complex in Bradenton.

The Bradenton Fire Department responded to the Carlton Arms apartment complex off Colonial Drive at around 3:00 p.m. The fire is about 90% contained.

Aerial footage from Eagle 8 HD showed heavy damage to the 12-unit building. Most of the roof was destroyed.

No one was hurt in the fire, but Bradenton’s fire chief told News Channel 8 multiple pets were killed.

The State Fire Marshal responded to the site of the fire. The Red Cross is working with 14 displaced residents to find them a place to stay.
