TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) - The Tampa Bay Lightning are taking their Official Playoff Parties, formerly held at Amalie Arena and Channelside, on the road during the 2018 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
For Game Three, when the Lightning take on the New Jersey Devils on the road, you can grab your jerseys and head to Clearwater's Pier 60 Sugar Sand Festival, now converted into a Bolts watch party.
The party begins at 5:30 p.m., and the puck drops at 7:30. You'll see all the action on giant screens, with the addition of music, fan prize giveaways and, with Mother Nature's assistance, a great sunset.
News Channel 8 sports anchor Dan Lucas is in Newark, New Jersey with the team, which arrived Sunday night.
Ryan Callahan and Dan Girardi are still listed as injured and their statuses for Monday night's game haven't been announced. However, they made the trip to Newark with their teammates. The Bolts recalled forward Matthew Peca from their American Hockey League Affiliate just in case he's needed.
The closest public parking lot to the event is the Pier 60 lot ($3/hr.) located just southwest of the roundabout, beachside. Street parking can be found both north and south of the roundabout. There are two public parking garages located near the venue on Coronado (Hyatt Regency) and one public parking garage located on the north beach in the Pelican Walk Plaza. Check out this map for a full list of parking spots on Clearwater Beach.
The Clearwater Ferry operates daily and can help avoid some traffic. Parking is available for free in downtown Clearwater and there is a small fee for the ferry ride. The ferry is operating on a high-volume schedule due to the Sugar Sand Festival. For the ferry schedule and prices, visit this link.
The Suncoast Beach Trolley runs from Treasure Island up to Clearwater Beach
