TAMPA, Fla. - It's one of the biggest Hispanic and Latino celebrations in Tampa Bay!
Conga Caliente, in it's 15th year, will take place at Al Lopez Park, 4810 N Himes Avenue, on Sunday, November 4th, 2018. Coda Sound has lined up some of the best musicians out there featuring Grammy
award winner and merengue star Johnny Ventura, also known as El Caballo. Also performing at the event will be two Grammy award nominees: Spanish singer-composer Braulio and Cuban singer–actress Aymeé Nuviola. She is best known for her role as Celia Cruz in the 2015 novela Celia.
Tampa based orchestra Mambo Lebrón will round up the entertainment this year with their varied repertoire.
“For 15 years we have been honored to showcase quality entertainment in a safe environment for
guests of all ages,” said Maritza Astorquiza, co-owner of Coda Sound and producer of Conga
Caliente. “This year we will introduce for the first time the Conga Players Stage inviting all conga
aficionados to hit the drums and compete for prizes. Florida Blue is the proud sponsor of this new
attraction,” added Astorquiza. “The event is free because we believe in the importance of providing
people from all incomes a free, open, quality family festival.”
Coda Sound, a minority owned Tampa based company, is producing this event which will
bring once again leading Latin performers to celebrate Hispanic Heritage. The festival will include
corporate exhibits about health prevention, arts & crafts, youth programs, a domino tournament, and
ethnic foods. A beer garden will benefit local charities and there will be strict security for the peace of
mind of all attendees. Tampa Bay Rays will sponsor a youth stage with cultural performances by students from kindergarten to college.
This free admission festival will run from 11am to 6pm with plenty of parking available at the
Raymond James Stadium parking lot.
