Clearwater company, OnMed, is introducing a new form of health technology they hope will help more people get the medical attention they need, in an instant.

This first-of-its-kind telemedicine station, allows patients to have a virtual, face-to-face conversation with a doctor, receive a diagnosis, and have their prescription medication vended to them on the spot.

Technology inside the booths will allow the patient to get checks on their temperature, weight, height, all of those important pieces of information a clinetian needs to give a good quality diagnosis.

The creators recognize this is something we can already do with smartphone apps and computers, one quliaty OnMed provides is unlike any virtual medical examination in the country, and that’s instant medication. That would mean patients wouldn’t have to drive to a pharmacy to fill prescriptions.

The creators of OnMed explain they recognized a need for instant, affordable access to healthcare, and 7 years later they are going to be able to place these booths in places they believe need them.

“Hospital systems ERs, airports, colleges and universities, says Austin White, Founding Partner and CEO of OnMed.

More than that, they have their eyes on rural areas across the country.

“These are areas where people wait inordinate amounts of time just to see a physician,” says White.
