A Tampa mom is alive thanks to the quick thinking of her 8-year-old daughter.
Kimaya Williams came home to find her mom having an apparent seizure, so she called 911.
Kimaya didn’t know her address, so the 911 operator, Senior Supervisor Julie Padron told the girl to find something with her address on it.
“I asked her to find some mail or some bill or something that would have the address and she was able to do that,” says Padron.
In the 911 call, the girl appears panicked at first, saying her mom couldn’t speak and was having a seizure. Eventually the little girl was calmed down by Padron.
Paramedics arrived and were able to help Kimaya’s mom, Kynetha Williams.
“She saved my life. She saved my life. If not, I would have been dead and gone,” said Kynetha.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office presented Kimaya with a certificate of bravery at her school on Thursday. She is a third grader at Bellamy Elementary School.
