A local landmark that is credited with kicking off the art scene in Safety Harbor has become a hot tourist destination.
At the house of art, called Whimzeyland, folks can explore, decorate and even pose for bright candid pictures.
The magical space has been ever evolving for over 20 years, thanks to local artists starting with Todd and Kiaralinda Ramquist.
People from all over the world travel to Whimzeyland to explore the colorful masterpiece.
And with every trip to what is also known as the Bowling Ball House, something you may not have noticed before is bound to catch your attention.
“You could come one time and then the next time you’ll come and you’ll be like, ‘oh I didn’t see that before’. You know, ‘where did that come from?’ There’s just so much to see and I think its super inspiring,” local artist Heather Richardson said.
Tons of different materials like mosaic tiles, bottle trees, recycled bottles, and, of course, bowling balls make the house a spectacle of art.
The home is now a destination of creativity for those seeking to explore something a little different.
You can venture off to Whimzeyland for yourself at any time.
Even though it is the artists’ home, it is open as a public art form at all times which is pretty neat!
