The spirit of the season will come alive at Curtis Hixon Park just as chilly temps hit downtown Tampa.
With ice skating, shops, drinks and treats, classic holiday films, choreographed light-show, sand sculpture, and a winter-themed Streetcar experience for seven weeks you’re guaranteed to feel the holiday cheer.
The Winter Village will feature 10 boutiques from local craftspeople and purveyors, as well as specialty drinks and treats to compliment the 5,000 square feet of real ice.
The Tampa Downtown Partnership is also introducing a 360-degree choreographed light display paired with holiday sounds.
On opening night, there will be a free skate from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p. m. followed by a free screening of “Home Alone”.
The Shops of Winter Village and the waterfront café will be open for patrons looking to shop and enjoy holiday treats.
The mascots from Tampa Bay’ s favorite sports teams, Tampa Bay Lightning Bug and Raymond from the Tampa Bay Rays, will also be joining the party Friday night.
