TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A Burmese python in the Everglades Sunday night was caught by a group from the Tampa Bay area.

WFLA viewer Jake Cronin, who has lived in the Tampa area for 45 years, caught the python with his buddies just south of Naples around 1 a.m. Monday morning.

“Look at this area where it got bit up by a gator,” one of the guys is heard saying in the video.

The guys are seen celebrating as they bring the snake onto a road.
