Victim shot in leg during carjacking in Tampa

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – One person was shot in the leg during a carjacking in Tampa early Friday morning, authorities said. 

Tampa police responded to a shooting in the 1000 block of E. North Street at about 12:30 a.m.

Police said a carjacking victim was shot in the leg. They were rushed to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 

The victim’s vehicle was found at a nearby hotel, but the suspect remains at large, police said.
