Tampa Police: Man found dead on side of tracks appeared to have been hit by train

Hillsborough County

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – Two Tampa police officers found a dead man who appeared to have been struck by a train on Wednesday.

The officers were on routine patrol at 5:52 p.m. They found the body on the side of the railroad tracks near N. 50th Street and E Broadway Avenue.

Detectives are working closely with CSX police on the active investigation.

The victim has not been identified.
