On Tuesday, Tampa International Airport announced non-flyers will now have access to its boarding gates.
This program will allow 100 members of the public the ability to access gates, shops and restaurants beyond the security checkpoint year-round on Saturdays.
The passes are limited to 25 people per airside with one airside per visit. Those participating in the TPA All Access program are subject to the same security screening regulations as passengers boarding a plane. All items prohibited in carry-on luggage, including liquids, aerosols and gels, apply to personal items taken through security. Please review a list of all TSA prohibited items here
“Now families, foodies or even couples looking for a unique date experience can come try our chargrilled oysters at Ulele, sample locally brewed beer at Cigar City and shop for unique gifts and items at our duty-free and fine retail stores without having to buy a ticket.,” TPA CEO Joe Lopano said.
The first day of All Access is Saturday, May 4, which coincides with the launch of several Mother’s Day specials and discounts at participating shops and restaurants
