A single-engine plane made an emergency landing near the Plant City Airport on Thursday.
The Plant City Fire Department confirmed the plane had engine trouble and had to make an emergency landing in the woods east of the airport.
Police and Fire Rescue units arrived on scene and had to traverse several hundred yards of thick brush to find the airplane and the pilot.

He was not seriously injured and was treated by Fire Rescue.
He was identified as John McKenney, 76, of Madeira Beach.
The cause of the crash is currently unknown.
The Federal Aviation Administration has been notified and will conduct an independent investigation.
