Mug Shots: Six charged with distributing heroin in South Tampa

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – Six people have been charged with distributing heroin in South Tampa.

On Thursday United States Attorney A. Lee Bentley, III said Edward McKenzie, 40, of Tampa; George Perdigon, 48, of Tampa; Gregory Phelps, 61, of Tampa; Michael Regan, 40, of Sun City Center; James Dunn, 34, of New York City; and Jesse Greer, 40, of Tampa, have been charged with distribution of heroin and/or conspiracy to traffic heroin. Each of the suspects faces up to 40 years in prison if convicted.

Officials said the suspects used a property at 3608 West Oklahoma Ave. to distribute heroin. The suspects allegedly distributed the drug in and around South Tampa from August 2015 to April 2016.

The Tampa Police Department and Drug Enforcement Administration investigated this case.
