“There’s a lot of police presence here. Even before the shooting over the last several months in lieu of everything going on around the country and in the nation, we encourage our deputies to get out here to get out here to the various places that people worship, write their reports, sit in the areas that are close by so the public can see us,” HCSO Major Frank Losat said.

The victim was transported to Tampa General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

“There is no terrorist overtones to this at all. our information as I stated, preliminary information, two individuals knew each other, they were here legally on the property and had a dispute that led to gunfire,” Major Losat said.

At this time no charges have been filed and at this time there is no threat to the public, the sheriff’s office said.
