Man charged with murder after man found dead behind Tampa home

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) – A man was arrested in connection with a May 10 shooting death of another man in Tampa, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office. 

Fabian Hopeton Gray was arrested Thursday and charged with murder. He is currently being held at the Orient Road Jail. 

Gray is accused of shooting and killing another man who was found dead behind a home in the 6000 block of 43rd Street.

Once deputies arrived at the scene, police got a call from someone who identified himself as a subject involved in the shooting. It’s unclear if that man was Gray.

The name of the vicitm has not been released.

“This is an active investigation and no other information can be released,” the agency said in a news release.
