TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Firefighters had to respond to a home in Brandon again on Monday after it caught fire for the second time, authorities said.

The Hillsborough County Fire Rescue said the home, which is in the 400 block of Van Reed Manor Drive near Bloomingdale, first caught fire around 7:30 p.m. on Sunday.

A person called 911 and said the home had been hit by lightning and there was smoke coming from the roof.

Firefighters responded and were able to bring it under control within 15 minutes. Three people inside the home were evacuated.

Authorities said they were not at the home when it caught fire again Monday morning.

The fire broke out around 6 a.m. and engulfed the home.

No injuries were reported, and the cause of the second fire remains under investigation, authorities said.
