RUSKIN, Fla. (WFLA) – A Lennard High School student was arrested on campus Friday morning for drug possession.
According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, a school resource deputy was alerted by administration that Abraham Ruelas, 18, was found in possession of a jar containing marijuana, seven THC oil cartridges, an electronic scale, four electronic smoking devices and $1,519 in cash.
Ruelas admitted to selling the marijuana and other items at school and said he had “been doing so off and on for a while.”
Ruelas was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a school, possession of marijuana sativa resin and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was taken to the Orient Road Jail.
