This morning detectives in Riverview are going through surveillance video after a pair of peacocks were found dead. 

Investigators tell us the bird’s bodies were discovered on Wednesday near windswept avenue. 

Witnesses say they think a group of teenagers are to blame. 

People reported seeing a group on bikes and riding in the back of a black four-door Ford F-150 just before the peacocks were found dead. “When teenagers decide to just come and shoot them, that’s not ok for several reasons.” Neighbor Esther Kirk said.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office says the people responsible will face felony animal cruelty and criminal mischief charges
