TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – Former Plant High School football star Robert Marve has plead guilty to false imprisonment and domestic violence.
News Channel 8 obtained the court documents detailing the plea deal on Monday.
Tampa police said Marve punched an ex-girlfriend in the face and the body on purpose on May 27, 2018. The assault left her with bruising to her face and upper body, according to investigators.
Officials said Marve grabbed a knife during the altercation and pressed it against his own arm and told the victim that one of them was not making it out of there.
The victim told authorities that she believed she was going to be stabbed to death in the house.
Over the next few days, Marve is accused of making multiple threats to harm the victim if she left the house. Officials said he kept her there against her will.
Marve’s attorney previously told News Channel 8 that the couple was “in a very volatile, physical and sexual relationship. The relationship included unconventional sexual conduct some of which was fairly violent, some which included dominance, submissive conduct, sadism, masochism. This was a consensual relationship with consensual activity involved.”
He received 3 years probation as a result of the plea deal.
