Former Pasco schools employee sentenced to life for child porn charges

PASCO COUNTY, FLA. - (WFLA) - A former Pasco schools bus manager accused of sexually assaulting a minor, was sentenced to life in prison Thursday.

William Napolitano, 35, plead guilty to sexually victimizing children and making child porn a year ago.

A judge called it heinous and said these crimes are on another level.

He worked his way up from a bus driver to becoming a schools bus manager for Pasco County.

Federal investigators were after him since 2014 investigating his connection to child porn linked to other countries.

Officials said Napolitano went after teenage boys on a mobile app, made porn with them and other adults and watched live productions of it online.

Federal investigators said Napolitano bragged to Kyle Ritsema about taking advantage of young boys.

Ritsema is a former assistant principal at Cypress Creek Middle High in Wesley Chapel who is also accused of crimes related to child porn.

Court documents also show that the two men talked about trying not to get caught and feared being on the news.

At the time of both arrests, school district leaders were shocked about the allegations.

In court, the victim's great aunt spoke out.

She called Napolitano's actions "appalling and that she had little respect for him."

She went on to say that "child predator" should be written across his forehead.

Napolitano read an apology letter in court and asked the judge for mercy.
