Fatal pedestrian crash shuts down part of MLK in Tampa

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Police say a pedestrian was struck and killed on Martin Luther King Boulevard in Tampa Friday morning.

The incident occurred at about 6:40 a.m. on MLK and North Habana Street. There is no word on what led to the collision.

Police said MLK is closed in both directions between Habana and MacDill Avenue. Drivers are being told to seek alternate routes.
