Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office deputies have identified a woman who fell out of a SUV on Monday afternoon.

This all took place at 4:12 p.m. on Monday in the middle of the intersection at East 131st Avenue and North 15th Street. That’s just west of the University of South Florida and east of Interstate-275.

If you watch the video closely, you’ll see cars drive by and pedestrians out and about. Suddenly, a maroon SUV drives through the intersection and it appears a woman falls out of the vehicle.

The sheriff’s office located the woman who fell from the vehicle and she is safe.

After an investigation, deputies determined that Jaiya Lee, 21, accidentally fell out of the vehicle, driven by her boyfriend, Marquis Mills, 19.

The couple had just left a Walmart store on East Fletcher Avenue and were traveling with another women and a 1-year-old child in the back seat.

Detectives have categorized the case as an accidental injury.

Lee suffered road rash on both of her legs and elbows.

She has not sought medical attention.

According to all three adults in the vehicle, Lee leaned against the front passenger door, which had previously been repaired due to damage, and fell out.

Based on witness testimony and physical evidence, no charges are pending in the investigation.
