Three people are facing felony murder charges after the shooting death of their alleged accomplice during a home invasion in Tampa, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies said Taylor Pritt, Vincent Benitez, Ashley Causey and Michael Caddo were committing a robbery at a home in the 12900 block of Morris Ridge Road on May 31 when the homeowner opened fire, killing Caddo.
In the state of Florida, a suspect can be charged with felony murder if anyone, including an accomplice, is killed during a felony criminal act.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said Pritt and Benitez were arrested Saturday and charged with second-degree felony murder with a firearm and robbery/home invasion with a firearm.
Causey was captured by the Clay County Sheriff's Office and arrested around 12:30 a.m. Sunday.
