TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office investigated a smash-and-grab at the Citrus Park Town Center in Tampa Tuesday.
The sheriff’s office said three masked men entered an employee entrance at the mall and used hammers to break display cases at the Diamond Galleria, making off with $100,000 of merchandise.
The merchandise included high-end watches, according to deputies.
The sheriff’s office said the suspect left through the same entrance and drove off in a silver 2020-2022 Nissan Murano driven by a fourth person.
“These suspects are seen on camera and video, so it’s only a matter of time before they are caught for the crimes they committed today,” Sheriff Chad Chronister said. “Thankfully, nobody was injured at the mall. I’m asking anyone who may have seen or heard something that could assist detectives with their investigation to please call us so we can look into it further.”
Those with information on the theft can call the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office at 813-247-8200 or Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay at 1-800-873-TIPS (8477).
