BRANDON, Fla. (WFLA) – A 26-year-old man is accused of killing a mother of four in Brandon on Tuesday, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.
John James McQueen was arrested and charged with first-degree murder and tampering with evidence and booked into the Hillsborough County Jail late Tuesday night, a news release states.
Deputies were called to the Charleston Landings Apartments, 902 Delaney Cir, at about 12:30 p.m. Tuesday after someone reported witnessing McQueen harming his girlfriend. The witness thought the woman may be dead, but was not sure, authorities said.
Deputies said McQueen and the victim share a 3-month-old child. The woman is also the mother of three other children. None of the children were present when she died. The victim’s name was not released.
