Bodies of 2 males found near gas pumps in Hillsborough

Hillsborough County

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) – Deputies with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office are trying to figure out what led to the deaths of two males whose bodies were found near gas pumps at a Hillsborough County Chevron gas station.

The Chevron station is located at 7710 Madison Avenue.

The sheriff’s office is investigating the deaths as a double homicide. Deputies are searching for the killer and at this point, they are still trying to find a motive.

One of the two victims has been identified by his mother as 24-year-old Dermaine Johnson of Tampa. The other victim has not been identified.

Police dispatchers received several 911 calls at 1:30 this morning. Deputies arrived at the scene and found the bodies.

“We don’t believe it was a random act,” said Col. Donna Lusczynski.  “We believe the two subjects knew each other and some type of confrontation occurred.”
