RIVERVIEW, Fla. (WFLA) – The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a school bus was struck by a BB gun pellet on Monday afternoon.

According to the sheriff’s office, around 1 p.m., an unknown subject shot a BB through the window of school bus #4343 from Summerfield Elementary School.

The bus was driving near the intersection of Gordon Road and Entrance Way in Riverview.

Eleven students were on board and no one was injured. 

It’s not known where the shot came from or if it was a prank by a juvenile.

The sheriff’s office is asking anyone from the public with information on the incident to call 813-247-8200.
