2 trailers burn in Gibsonton fire

Hillsborough County

GIBSONTON, Fla. (WFLA) – Hillsborough County Fire Rescue was on scene of a three-alarm fire in Gibsonton Friday afternoon.

HCFR responded to the fire in the 12000 block of US Highway 41 South.

When crews arrived, they found two trailers completely engulfed in flames surrounded by overgrown brush and piles of salvage-type materials, as well as other trailers, cars, vans, boats, mowers, scrap metals, wooden pallets and used construction materials.

The third alarm was called amid the conditions and potential for flames spreading.

Firefighters used a combined water and foam attack when it was determined the trailers were unoccupied.

Crews were able to bring the blaze under control in about 30 minutes.

No one was injured in the fire.
