FITTSVILLE, Okla. (WFLA/NBC) – A herd of cattle was swept away from a field in Oklahoma due to heavy floodwaters that hit some parts of the state.

A video shows dozens of cows being forcibly overtaken by a tremendous amount of water throughout an area just south of Oklahoma City.

The herd apparently was swept away after more than 13 inches of rain flooded the field.

According to the owner of the cattle, some of them have been able to get to land safely thanks to an airboat, but there are quite a few that still remain unaccounted for.

The owner has faith that all of them will be recovered.
