HAINES CITY, Fla. (WFLA) – Haines City police say a suspect in a grand theft auto case is in custody after he and three others led authorities on a pursuit Friday night.
Deaundre Ware, 24, was arrested by police in Orlando and taken to the Orange County Jail.

ORIGINAL STORY | The Haines City Police Department is searching for a man who is on the run following a vehicle pursuit Friday night in Haines City.
Officers say Deaundre Ware, 24, Darius Anderson, 21, Vaschon Walker, Jr., 18, and Courtney Blake Jr., 23, stole a 2019 Toyota Camry from the Orlando. When officers attempted a traffic stop on U.S. 27. the suspects made a sudden U-turn and headed north.
Other agencies including the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, Osceola County Sheriff’s Office, and Florida Highway Patrol assisted as the vehicle continued north on U.S. 27 and exited onto I-4 East. Once a Haines City officer was able to perform a PIT maneuver the four suspects left the vehicle and fled on foot.
During the pursuit, Anderson shoved an officer in an attempt to get away, but was ultimately apprehended. The Polk Sheriff’s Office’s air and drone units helped apprehend one of the other suspects in a small body of water as Walker and Blake were arrested immediately.
All three arrested face charges of grand theft auto, aggravated battery, and resisting without violence. Anderson is also being charged with battery on a law enforcement officer and providing a false name.
Ware’s criminal history includes robbery, home invasion with a firearm and battery among other charges. Anyone with any information on Ware’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Haines City Police Department at 863-421-3636.
