Rankings Released: Hardest colleges to get into in Florida

Ahead of the busy college application season, a research website has released its annual list of hardest colleges to get into in the state of Florida.

The University of Miami received the top ranking by research firm Niche, followed by the University of Florida and Florida Memorial University at number two and number three, respectively.

Niche based the rankings on a variety of criteria, such as acceptance rates, required SAT scores and recommended GPA, among other factors.

In the Tampa Bay region, the University of South Florida was ranked tenth most difficult to get into, while the University of Tampa wasn’t far behind at twelfth hardest. 

The University of Central Florida, another popular choice among prospective students in the Bay Area, came in at number eleven.
