TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – UPDATE 9 P.M.: The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office says they have found a body they believe to be 13-year-old Tristyn Bailey, who was reported missing early Sunday morning.
Sheriff Robert Hardwick says deputies are in the early stages of their investigation and have preliminarily identified the body they found as Bailey’s.
The sheriff’s office will not be providing any more updates or details Sunday evening but are expected to provide more information Monday morning, according to Hardwick.
ORIGINAL STORY: A Florida Missing Child Alert has been issued for a 13-year-old girl from North Florida.
According to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Tristyn Bailey was last seen around 1:15 a.m. in the area of the 700 block of North Durbin Parkway, near the Durbin Amenity Center, in St. Johns.
Officials say Bailey was wearing a white cheerleading skirt, dark-colored shirt, and black Vans shoes.
She is 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighs 120 pounds, has blonde hair, green eyes, multiple birthmarks on her face, a scar on her right forearm, and braces.
