The body of a missing mother of four has been found in a remote area of Osceola County, deputies confirmed.
“She didn’t deserve this at all. She was the most innocent of souls. She was always willing to help. She was always just naturally bubbly,” Sh’Mika Scott-Devoe said.
Investigators said they received information that lead them to search an area near Nova Road and Deer Park Road for 31-year-old Tashaun Jackson. Scott-Devoe is Jackson’s cousin.
A Brevard County Sheriff’s Office helicopter spotted her body just off of Dear Park Road.
“We want to know what she could’ve done so terrible that could make someone take her life and discard her the way that they did,” Scott-Devoe said.
Jackson was last seen at a 7-Eleven on Dixon Boulevard on Saturday. Family members say she would never have deliberately left her children.
Store surveillance cameras show the last known image of Jackson. Jackson is a mother of four children, ages 11, six, four and one.
Jackson was recently the victim of a break-in in which police say a man touched her against her will. He was arrested and may be prosecuted. Jackson just gave a deposition in the case. Police won’t say whether her disappearance is connected with the case.
Family members say Jackson left behind her ID and other items she might need if she was leaving intentionally. It appears to them she had intended to come back home after a quick stop.
Before finding her in Osceola County, searchers combed a pond while family members watched close by.
Police have not said if there’s a suspect in her disappearance.
