The Florida Capitol had a lot of tiny visitors on Thursday for “Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day.”

Gov. Ron DeSantis and First Lady Casey DeSantis took part in the event as well, bringing their daughter Madison and son Mason. The family welcomed more than 500 children, parents and mentors at the Capitol.

The children and other visitors were able to tour several exhibits set up throughout the Capitol that showcased a variety of organizations. They also learned about the career opportunities that are available in Florida.

“As Chair of the Children and Youth Cabinet, I am excited to join state leaders, students and parents to celebrate the different career paths available to our children,” First Lady DeSantis said in a statement.

The first lady said Floridians are blessed to live in a state that has so many options for high-quality education available to children.

“The governor and I are working hard to ensure these kids and children across the state can attend the schools and explore career opportunities that are the best fit for them,” she said. “I look forward to watching these young leaders develop their interests and establish our future workforce for our state.”

While Madison and Mason were at the Capitol, the governor and first lady posed for several sweet photos, including one of Gov. DeSantis sitting at his desk with his two children.
