Giant alligator takes casual stroll in Fort Myers


FORT MYERS, Fla. (WFLA) – A giant alligator was turning heads in Fort Myers on Friday morning.

Chelsea Brinson captured the massive reptile taking a stroll in the area of McGregor Boulevard near Pine Ridge Road.

The video has since been shared more than 3,000 times. 

The FWC says alligator mating season is underway. The gator courtship phase begins in early April and mating is expected to take place in May or June.
