Florida beachgoer finds $1M worth of cocaine floating at sea, investigators say

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A beachgoer recently stumbled upon 69 pounds of cocaine floating at sea near the Florida Keys.

Customs and Border Protection officials said the drugs were quickly seized.

The U.S. Border Patrol tweeted a picture of the drugs, which have an estimated street value of more than $1 million.

The incident remains under investigation.
