JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (WFLA) — Gov. Ron DeSantis signed a memorandum of understanding between the state of Florida and the United Kingdom Tuesday afternoon.
The governor signed the memorandum at a press conference with UK Secretary of State for Business and Trade Kemi Badenoch MP at the JAXPORT Cruise Terminal.
According to the governor, the United Kingdom is Florida’s number one foreign investor.
A UK official stated that the memorandum will help both governments identify barriers in trade and seek new investment opportunities in Florida.
