BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) - Three Broward County Schools were placed on lockdown after reports of a person in the area with a gun.
Millenium Middle School in Tamarac was first put on lockdown over a disturbance. Broward officials say Challenger Elementary School and Westpine Middle are also on lockdown due to their proximity and police activity in the area.
Deputies have continued to investigate the latest incident, but have not said whether the threat is credible.
Broward County is still reeling from the shooting at Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland that left 17 people dead. Thus far, officials say all of the students at Millenium Middle School, Challenger Elementary School and Westpine Middle are accounted for.
