All of United Airlines’ domestic flights were grounded until 8 p.m. Sunday because of a computer outage, the Federal Aviation Administration said as scores of angry travelers sounded off on social media, according to NBC News.
Officials told NBC News that the airline’s communication, reporting system was having issues. The ground stop was supposed to end at 8:00 p.m., but the FAA extended it until 9:00 p.m.
The grounding has since been lifted.
At the time, United Airlines tweeted that the issue was “ongoing.”
No further explanation was immediately available.
