DUNEDIN, FL (WFLA) – A 21-year-old Bay area woman is behind bars facing a cyber-stalking charge.
Brianna Mercedes Bunch is being held without bond at the Pinellas County Jail.
She was arrested Saturday afternoon by deputies with the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office. According to the PCSO arrest report, she created several ‘fake’ social media accounts in order to harass a Palm Harbor woman over an 18-month period.
Investigators say the reason for the harassment was in retaliation for the victim having ‘sexual relations’ with Bunch’s boyfriend. During the investigation, the victim provided detectives with proof the suspect used her name to open a fake Instagram account where she posted explicit photos.
During questioning Bunch admitted to the allegations. She also said that she had created several fake Facebook and Instagram profiles to contact the victim.
Bunch is held without bond at the Pinellas County jail.
