TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Tampa Police are asking for help identifying a person of interest in connection with the shooting deaths of two people at Club Rayne early Saturday morning. Six other people were injured by gunfire in the shooting.

Police released images from a video recorded at the Tampa strip club around the time of the shootings. The images are of the same man. Police describe him as a person of interest and say he is not being described as a suspect at this time.

If you recognize the man or have information that can help investigators, call the Tampa Police Department at (813) 231-6130.

This story is highlighting how social media can play a role in a case. It may be one of the first times a murder victim has ever sent out his own killing live over the internet.

One of the persons killed, Marvin Lancaster III, 21, of Brandon, was using the livestreaming app Periscope at the time of the shooting. Shots rang out and the phone and livestream dropped to the floor.

Police say Lancaster III was killed by the gunfire. Eight people were shot, two died.

A second person, Christopher Houston, 20, died late Monday from injuries suffered in the shooting. Other victims received gunshot injuries that ranged from minor to very serious.

The shootings happened around 2 a.m. at the club, which is located at 8123 N. Nebraska Ave.

Juno Davis was selling adult merchandise inside Club Rayne at the time of the shooting and said it was a stampede after the shots were fired.

“It was like a stampede, people was stepping over each other,” Davis said.

Davis said that the rules of the club say that everybody is searched every time they go out and come back in.
